Our Story

We started with a simple observation: the companies installing heat pumps weren't talking to the people who owned the buildings that needed them most. New-build specialists couldn't handle the challenges of thick stone walls, single-skin construction, or the planning complexities of listed buildings.

Our founders—a heating engineer with two decades of experience and an architect specialising in heritage conservation—set out to bridge that gap. What began as occasional consultancy work grew into a dedicated installation business focused entirely on older properties.

Today, we've completed over 800 installations across England, Scotland, and Wales. Our portfolio includes Grade I and Grade II listed buildings, properties in conservation areas, and hundreds of Victorian and Edwardian homes where other installers saw only obstacles.

What Drives Us

Our work sits at the intersection of environmental responsibility and heritage preservation.

Environmental Purpose

Domestic heating accounts for over 20% of UK carbon emissions. Every older home we convert to renewable heating makes a measurable difference.

Heritage Respect

Older buildings deserve solutions that honour their character. We never treat historical features as problems to be worked around.

Technical Excellence

We invest continuously in training and certification. Our engineers hold qualifications that many installers don't pursue because older properties "aren't worth the effort."

Certifications & Accreditations

We maintain full Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accreditation—essential for customers seeking government grants. This involves annual audits of our installation practices, customer service standards, and technical competence.

Our team includes members of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and engineers with specific training in heritage building services. We're approved installers for all major heat pump manufacturers including Vaillant, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, and Nibe.

We also hold membership with the Heat Pump Association and contribute to industry working groups developing best practices for retrofit installations.

How We Work

Every project starts with listening. We need to understand your property's history, your current heating frustrations, and what you're hoping to achieve. This isn't just about selecting equipment—it's about designing a solution that fits your life.

Our assessments take longer than industry standard because we're looking at details others overlook: moisture behaviour in old walls, thermal bridging at period features, acoustic considerations in quiet rural settings.

Installation typically takes three to five days for air source systems, longer for ground source. We coordinate all necessary trades—electricians, groundworkers, plasterers—so you have a single point of contact throughout.

After commissioning, we provide comprehensive handover training and remain available for questions. Most customers join our maintenance programme for ongoing peace of mind.

Customer Experiences

Feedback from homeowners who've worked with our team.

"The attention to detail was remarkable. They spent as much time ensuring the external unit wouldn't impact our neighbours' view as they did on the technical installation. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare."

David L. Bath

"Our 1780s farmhouse needed someone who understood old buildings. Previous quotes had suggested removing original features—these folks found ways to work around everything we wanted to keep."

JM
Jennifer M. Herefordshire

"Clear communication from start to finish. No hidden costs, no surprises. They delivered exactly what they quoted, on the timeline they promised. Our energy bills have halved."
